Forum on Productive Youth Development through Sport in Africa
React to the official recommendations of the Forum on Productive Youth Development through Sport in Africa, which took place from June 16-18, 2009 in Nairobi.
Recommendation 3: Encourage Knowledge Sharing
• Seek ways to minimise competition and promote collaboration.
• Promote the benefits of both formal and informal networks and communicate them clearly.
• Create a safe space to share lessons learned stemming from failures, as well as successes, so that we might all learn from each others’ experiences. "Chobo" It can't get any better than this :)
Hi people,
I just returned to my desk after a breathtaking tournament, what were the result? That's old news. The highlight of the match came when a defender from the blue team whose name I'll spare the shame (name starts with E), was the last man standing behind team red's dangerous striker and the 200cm goal post. The crowd bust into cheers when chobo was effective as the ball passed through the defender's legs thus a goal. What's key though: was the social interaction between volunteers of different departments, young kids just shy of 10years and other youths who participated. The aim of the tournament was that so am happy that the objectives were met. Let's chat tomorrow guys. Good day and God bless.

5 aside soccer tournament
Hello,
Today, we will be having 5 aside soccer matches at CHRISC Nairobi's Amani centre :) We normally hold such tournaments every once in a while to bring together volunteers from different departments and share in the fun games. Prior to the tournament, we normally have an hour of morning devotion as Christian values form foundational aspects that hold our organization together. Later on we shall post the results of the tournament so please keep checking our blog :)
